This is a pastel drawing of a rearing horse and jockey. Horse riding and racing can be dangerous, and horses can be unpredictable, the rider is unseated on this particular day at the races. The three images show the story of the horse eventually unseating the rider. The simple use of white and black gives rise to a ghostly effect.
